CEO resources

Business articles

VFG was pleased to provide these unique resources as part of the Ownership Transition: Expanding Your Options seminars. As part of our commitment to supporting all businesses, they are made available to you here as well.

First is a Business Valuation Guide, created by John Murphy of Atlantic Management Company. This primer will help business owners understand the process when answering that important question: “What is my business worth?”

Also, Vested for Growth has reached out to several business owners  who have each led an ownership transition in their own business. These former owners have each compiled a list of attorneys, accountants, consultants, reading materials, and other information that other business owners have found particularly effective during their transition. This list is free to you and is available here.

For those of you who would like an overview of the four basic ownership transition models (family sale, 3rd party sale, management buyout, ESOP), VFG is happy to provide this slide presentation. While only a high-level overview, this document outlines the traditional models of ownership transition and may help orient you to your future options.
